Carly Pearce has been named as a potential replacement for the injured Tom Brady, and according to her personal social media accounts, she’s trying to make it happen.
Pearce posted a photo of herself on Thursday, wearing a black T-shirt that reads “Brady” and a black dress and shoes.
In a series of tweets on Friday morning, Pearce said she’d had to change her wardrobe in recent days due to a “medical emergency,” and she’s working out in a “super workout” to keep her shape.
Pearce is one of four candidates vying to replace Brady, who is the NFL’s all-time leading passer and has been the face of the league for the past seven seasons.
But Pearce isn’t the only one hoping to fill Brady’s shoes.
A number of other high-profile NFL stars have also been linked to a potential comeback.
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski said he was “extremely close” to returning, but said his contract situation made it difficult to do so.
The former Patriots quarterback has been in a rehab situation since March and has not been able to play since the preseason.
According to the New York Post, Brady is also in talks to return to the league.
Brady is one year removed from having the franchise tag that prevents him from signing with another team for the rest of his career.
