The latest trial in a junk car accident is set to be a classic, with an experienced car wreck attorney at the centre.
The trial, known as the “Stinger Car Crash Trial” and being held in Melbourne, is the first of its kind and is being conducted by lawyer Chris Dolan.
The trials was launched to challenge the notion that there is no legal duty to repair a car if it is damaged by another vehicle, despite the fact that a driver can be held liable if they injure another person.
“We’re here to challenge a legal fiction,” Mr Dolan said.
“If you hit someone, you’re entitled to blame them and to repair it, so it’s a classic car accident.”
But the fact is, a lot of people don’t know that.
“People are afraid of the consequences.”
I don’t want to see anyone killed, but I do want them to get a good repair, and to know that they can sue if they have done something wrong.
“Mr Dolan is a licensed motor vehicle crash and road accident lawyer who has represented drivers, cyclists, cyclists and pedestrians in car crashes.
He has worked with several victims and the media in his past life as a road accident and road traffic law specialist.
He said while there was a strong case for compensation, it could be too much of a deterrent.”
Mr Gannon is also a former police officer who worked for the Australian Federal Police.””
So you need to look at the impact on the other person, the damage to their property, the costs to the police and the insurance costs.”
Mr Gannon is also a former police officer who worked for the Australian Federal Police.
“In the context of these cases, it’s important that there’s a deterrent and you can be sure that when you’re a driver, you know how to handle a situation,” Mr Pomeroy said.
Mr Dwayne said it was important to know what you could do to avoid being a victim of a crash and was encouraging drivers to consider taking the necessary precautions.
